A visual concept created for a Gray Area article examining Jean-Paul Marat as one of history's earliest political influencers. By reimagining David's The Death of Marat with modern podcasting equipment, the piece draws a parallel between revolutionary pamphleteers and today's political commentators, illustrating how media figures can become symbols, martyrs, and movements larger than themselves. The design combines historical reference, cultural commentary, and editorial storytelling to connect past and present through a single image.
